Where to galvanize parts
If you want to zinc certain metal products, then you can contact us to provide such a service . PE Metizy-94 currently provides galvanizing of parts by hot galvanizing and galvanizing. You can galvanize household hardware, old car parts, pipes and other hardware. We are also contacted for galvanizing fasteners (eg bolts, nuts, washers, ties, etc.).
Metal galvanizing price
The price of galvanizing can vary greatly depending on the geometry, dimensions and thickness of the product. In order to at least give you some guidance on the price, you can give the following example: for a flat fence panel TM Kazachka made of wire with a diameter of 5.0 mm with cells of 200x60 mm, the cost of galvanizing 1 kg of the product is about 5.60 UAH (01.01.2014). But in any case, when contacting us, the manager will calculate the exact cost depending on the product. The price can be based on both weight and surface area.
Prices for galvanized galvanizing are, of course, lower. You can check them with the manager.
What sizes can be hot dip galvanized
Due to the fact that zinc baths are limited in size, there are certain restrictions on the size of structures that can be hot dip galvanized. Maximum products for galvanizing (LENGTHXHEIGHTXWIDTH) 6m x 2.4m x 1.3m.
Where to powder coat parts
You can order powder coating of your products from us . We offer polymer painting services of almost any color from the RAL palette. The polymer provides protection against corrosion and a beautiful appearance of the product. Depending on the type of paint, the thickness of the coating, its hardness and wear resistance will change. You can get more detailed advice from the manager.
Powder coating is applied to a wide range of products, from antenna brackets to truck sides to increase durability. There are also frequent requests for polymer coating of retail racks, entrance doors and other parts that can withstand heat up to 200C (powder paint baking temperature).
powder coating price
The cost of polymer coating depends on the area of painting. The price may change if you order an atypical color for a small quantity.
Galvanizing + polymer coating
Often there is a combination of galvanizing parts and coating them with a polymer coating, which makes them almost eternal. Such a coating will help keep the product from corrosion for 50 years or more. We have quite a lot of experience in zinc coating and polymer paint coating, as we provide coating of our own fences TM Kazachka .
Advantages of galvanizing and powder coating at PE Metizy-94
- Thanks to our developed logistics system, we can bring your parts for galvanizing or polymer coating to Zaporozhye, and bring them back to your destination after coating.
- After galvanizing, you will receive a product with a zinc layer up to 130 microns!
- Our peculiarity is that we sometimes stop accepting orders due to urgent orders from motorways for galvanizing fenders for highways and from mobile operators for galvanizing parts of base stations. But this feature is not a disadvantage, but indicates the high quality of the work performed.
Next, let's take a closer look at the essence of galvanizing and powder coating (click for a quick transition):

hot dip galvanizing
What is galvanizing
Galvanizing is the process of applying zinc to a metal surface. Galvanizing allows you to protect the metal surface from corrosion for a sufficiently long time. At the moment, galvanizing is the most common way to protect metals from corrosion. In Ukraine, for domestic and industrial purposes, mainly 2 types of galvanizing are used: hot and galvanic (electrolytic galvanizing).
hot dip galvanizing
The hot dip galvanizing process is divided into 2 main stages: preparatory and actual hot dip galvanizing.
At the preparatory stage of hot-dip galvanizing, the surface is degreased, washed, pickled, and then washed again.
At the stage of hot galvanizing, the product is placed in a hot zinc melt at a temperature of about 460C. Zinc then reacts with oxygen to form zinc oxide. The zinc oxide then reacts with carbon dioxide to form zinc carbonate, which remains on the surface. When hot dip galvanized, the surface is usually matt grey. Such a layer reliably protects the metal surface from corrosion for 20-50 years of operation.
PE Metizy-94 provides hot-dip galvanizing services with a zinc layer up to 130 microns . Under the influence of the environment, zinc is destroyed by about 1-5 microns per year. 1 µm/year corresponds to use in rural areas, and 5 µm/year corresponds to use near pig farms, barns, chemical plants, and also on the sea coast, so hot dip galvanizing will last longer. If you want to use your products in such an aggressive environment, then it is better to pay attention to the polymer coating, which is not afraid of such conditions. The polymeric coating can be applied both to ferrous and galvanized metal.
Galvanic galvanizing (electrolytic galvanizing)
For comparison, consider galvanized zinc. The essence of electrolytic galvanizing is as follows: galvanized products are lowered into a bath with electrolyte, then the plates and structures are connected to a direct current source. During electrolysis, the zinc anode dissolves and settles on the surface of the product.
This method of galvanizing is quite dangerous for the environment, since it is necessary to treat wastewater from zinc. Such technologies are very expensive, so it is often economically better to use electroless galvanizing technologies.
Galvanic galvanizing allows you to get a shiny surface, but the zinc layer in this case will be 5-20 microns.
Hot dip galvanizing standards
Hot galvanizing is carried out in accordance with GOST 9.309-89 and ISO 1461-89.
Hot dip galvanizing quality control is carried out according to the "Magnetic method", "Method of controlling the chemical composition of zinc melt according to GOST 19251.1, GOST 9151.2, GOST 19251.3, GOST 19251.5", "Method of applying a scratch grid".
Advantages of hot dip galvanizing
Hot dip galvanizing is one of the most cost effective galvanizing methods. Using the hot-dip galvanizing method, you get a product that is reliably protected from corrosion for many years. Hot dip galvanizing provides a sufficiently thick layer of zinc that will take a very long time to corrode.

What is polymer coating
Polymer coating is also called PVC coating, polymer paint coating or powder coating.
Application technology
Before applying the polymer, the surface must be prepared and cleaned from oxides and rust. The preparation of products includes degreasing, removal of oxides, conversion coatings can also be applied, which can improve the protective properties of products.
The powder coating process is as follows. Polymer paint enters the mixer, where it mixes with air and enters the spray gun. In the atomizer, powder grains acquire the necessary electrical charge by passing through a high-voltage spark gap. Then the powder, flying near the product, sticks to the surface. Then the polymer coating is baked on the product in an oven at a temperature of about 200C for 10-15 minutes.
Often, the appearance of a polymer coating can determine the quality of its manufacture.

What is polymer coating used for?
Powder coating is used to protect products from corrosion, as well as improve the aesthetic characteristics of products. The polymer coating provides protection when used in aggressive environments, as it is much less affected by acid fumes and salty sea air. Often, a polymer coating is applied to galvanized products in order to further increase the protective characteristics of the product against corrosion.
The polymer coating can be of various colors according to RAL classification. You can specify the possible colors and cost by calling PE Metizy-94.
Polymer paint is often applied to wire fences, fasteners, sheet steel, corrugated board, doors, and other products that require aesthetic appearance or corrosion protection.
Polymer Coating Properties
The polymer coating forms a smooth shiny surface, without sagging, prevents corrosion, as it forms a dense protective layer on the surface of the product.
Advantages of polymer coating
The polymer coating has a number of advantages over other methods of corrosion protection and decorative surface coatings:
- chemical resistance;
- the polymeric covering has no smell;
- powder paint particles have minimal volatility;
- low melting point;
- high light fastness.
What parts can be coated with polymer
Among the products that are usually coated with a polymer, the main ones can be distinguished:
- commercial and industrial equipment;
- rack and warehouse equipment;
- library and banking equipment;
- medical equipment;
- sports equipment;
- roofing materials;
- furniture and household appliances;
- metal products;
- non-metallic products (gypsum, ceramics, glass);
- automotive components.
The maximum size of products for painting (LENGTHXHEIGHTXWIDTH) 3.9m x 2m x 1.4m.
