Nichrome mesh material : heat-resistant nichrome grade X20H80, X15H60
GOST 3826-82 (Grids woven with square cells)
Weave of heat-resistant nichrome nets : plain
Designation of nichrome mesh : by analogy with woven n / a and stainless - mesh size * wire diameter + steel grade.
Designation example : 3.2 * 0.8 X20H80 (cell 3.2 mm, wire 0.8 mm, nichrome brand X20H80). The width of the canvas can also be indicated (if different from 1.0 m)

Description:
The most common nichrome mesh is the X20H80 brand. According to the generally accepted classification, this alloy should contain about 20% chromium and 80% nickel, but this does not quite correspond to GOST. The actual proportions, according to GOST, of the X20H80 nichrome mesh are as follows:
Ni - 73-78%.
Cr - 19-21%.
The rest is additional elements Mn, Fe and other elements.
Nichrome mesh made of X15H60 grade alloy has the following composition:
Ni - 55.0-61.0%.
Cr - 15.0-18.0%.
The rest is additional elements Mn, Fe and other elements.
The main advantage of using nichrome mesh is its high heat resistance. Nichrome mesh can be used at temperatures up to 1500 C! Such temperatures are achieved in the production of nitric acid, as well as when working with metals and ceramics.
