Tensioner for wire, cables, trellis and mesh consists of a body into which a stopper with two holes of 9 mm is stamped, and a gear wheel with a square shaft. 
The tensioner is attached to the post, then the end of the wire is threaded through the hole in the housing and through the hole in the shaft, after which the shaft is twisted, and the stopper with the groove does not allow it to unwind.
A tensioner for wire and mesh is produced by stamping from a sheet 2 mm thick. Tensioner width - 3.1cm (+/-2mm)
There are 2 sizes of wire tensioners available:
- length 95.5mm, weight 85g (+/-2g);
- length 106mm, weight 92g.(+/-2g).
To protect against corrosion, the tensioner is galvanized. The zinc layer is up to 50g/m 2 .

The wire tensioner is used for:
- tension of the canvas during the installation of a fence from the chain- link mesh ;
- wire tension;
- for tensioning the mesh during the installation of the fence and prickly-cutting barriers ;
- tensioning galvanized wire for vine trellises, garden wire (as an alternative to Gripple locks);
- cable tension;
- connecting the canvas of the Kazachka lightweight mesh and the Knotfix mesh to each other.
For a mesh with a polymer coating, a tensioner is also on sale, additionally coated with green polymer powder paint, which is baked in an oven.
