Description of ruffed nails
Ring - these are flat-head nails with a ruffed rod, made in the form of sequential knurling of rings in such a way that it receives a comb profile with a top at the tip of the nail.

Ring notches after clogging dig into the wood and prevent even minimal progress of the nail inside the hole.

Then they are cleaned of trimming residues in tumbling drums and transferred to a knurling machine, where they cut an annular thread.
