Description of molding nails
Casting molds for pouring metal are fastened with molding nails or casting nails. 
Forming nails pierce the inside of the mold to strengthen it (pressed into the mixture of which the mold consists).
The rods are fixed in the molds with casting nails, the foals are attached to the rods, and external refrigerators are fixed on the molds. Forming nails are inserted into holes already made, with a diameter slightly larger than the diameter of the forming nail. That's why :
- The only blunt or blunt nails are molding nails. We supply them without a sharp end.
- The largest ratio of the length of the nail to its diameter is found in molding nails.
The forming nail consists of a head and a long shaft.
The nail shaft is smooth and only near the head is corrugated. Corrugations are tool marks that hold the wire while stamping the head and cutting the nail.
The head or head of a casting nail is flat with a smooth surface. The head thickness is 0.6 of the diameter of the forming nail itself. The diameter of the head is 1.7-1.8 times the diameter of the nail. The head of the molding nail rests against the body of the casting mold when piercing or serves as a limiter or support when fixing the foals and rods.

Important. The figures indicated in the table are calculated. Actual quantities and weights will vary by a few percent because metal products have tolerances in diameter and length. It affects weight.
Production of molding nails
Forming nails are produced using the same technology as the rest of the nails.
The wire rod is cleaned of scale and dragged into a wire by drawing. The wire is fed to the nailing machine and, in accordance with GOST 283-75 "Wire nails. Specifications" and GOST 4035-63 "Round forming nails. Design and dimensions", forming nails are cut. Lubrication is used in the production of nails. At the request of the buyer, the nails are sent to tumbling drums for cleaning from oil residues and trimming.
