SNiP II-22-81 indicates that the thickness of the seam, in this case, should be 4 mm greater than the sum of the diameters of the crossing wires. This means that the solution layer should cover the wire by approximately 2 mm on each side.

This SNiP regulates the use of masonry mesh only if the brick does not provide sufficient masonry strength. In other cases, the building mesh is used for additional insurance, to prevent the appearance of cracks in the walls, so the builder or the customer himself determines the need to use one or another mesh.
