Testing of welded galvanized mesh for rust resistance
- The 1st experiment lasted 85 days. Welded galvanized mesh from Ukrainian factories and imported mesh (Zn > 50 g/2) were used. To test resistance to an aggressive environment, the products were immersed in a sodium chloride NaCl solution (1 teaspoon per glass of water). The tests confirmed that both the Chinese and the Ukrainian mesh rust equally. In this experiment, we did not protect the cut ends in any way, so corrosion started exactly from those places because there is no zinc on the cut ends.
- The 2nd experiment lasted 365 days. Welded galvanized mesh (Zn > 50 g/2) and TM Kozachka galvanized mesh (Zn up to 130 g/m²) were compared in a salt solution of 1 tsp per glass of water. This time, for the purity of the experiment, we protected the cut ends from corrosion to see how long the galvanized coating would last. The first one began to rust after half a month, while the second showed not even a hint of rust after 365 days.

Galvanized welded mesh after 1 year since it was placed in a salt solution:
Ordinary galvanized welded mesh begins to rust in animal cages after 1–2 years. Rabbit breeders are forced to replace it every year. But those who choose Kozachka do this only once every 5–7 years.
