Netting netting application:
Chain-link mesh is used for the production of cheap fences.

To do this, install columns and stretch a wicker mesh between them. Cheaper than such a fence is only a fence made of lightweight Cossack mesh

Modern tennis courts, sports grounds are often surrounded by elite fences made of woven mesh with PVC coating. It's not that cheap anymore.

For the manufacture of cages for animals and birds, aviary fences also use wicker mesh .

There is evidence that the German builder Karl Rabitz invented the chain-link mesh in order to produce wall partitions from it by plastering. Rabitz invented it or not, but one of the main applications of woven mesh is the reinforcement of the plaster layer. Especially often the chain-link is used for plastering columns.
In recent years, for plastering, other types of metal meshes have often been used instead of chain -links: welded, twisted, expanded metal, also fiberglass mesh, plastic mesh. Therefore, at present, the use of chain -link as a plaster has significantly decreased.
Miners also use chain-link mesh . They sift the rock through it and strengthen the production.
The chain- link mesh for sifting sand is used by builders.
In mechanical engineering , the chain-link is used to make guards for rotating parts.
All of Ukraine has heard about how water erodes the coast in Transcarpathia, how houses collapse as a result of landslides. In order to strengthen the banks and make retaining walls on steep slopes, gabions are used, which in some cases are made not from a twisted mesh, but from a galvanized chain-link mesh with a wire with a diameter of 5 mm and a mesh size of 100 mm.
One more scope of a grid the chain -link is a design. Modern craftsmen from the chain-link mesh make amazing products that can be mistaken for weaving macrame.
Features of the use of chain-link mesh.
In coastal areas, where the air is saturated with calcium chloride salts, the use of a non-galvanized chain-link mesh is not advisable, because it is very quickly destroyed by corrosion. The galvanized chain-link mesh will be used a little longer, but still the salty air does not spare it either. In these areas, it is more practical to use a chain-link mesh made of galvanized wire coated with a polymer coating. In Ukraine, we know only one manufacturer who makes such a wicker mesh with a polymer coating with high quality. We supply such a grid. It is Ukrainian-made, so its price is lower than imported chain-link PVC from Europe, and the quality is the same.
You also need to understand that the use of the Rabitz mesh for fencing livestock complexes also leads to its premature corrosion due to the fact that the methane released as a result of decay of organic waste is partially converted by bacteria into nitric acid, which quickly corrodes the zinc coating of the Rabitsa mesh. In these cases, it is necessary to purchase a chain-link mesh from wire of large diameters and, preferably, coated with a polymer. The appearance of rust on the chain-link mesh, which is operated in such an aggressive environment, is a common occurrence, and it continues to perform its blocking functions for a long time.
