measurements
The main thing in installing a plastic fence is the accuracy of measuring the territory. You must determine exactly how many fence sections, corner posts and end posts you need. In order to ensure an accurate installation, place pegs where the corner and end posts of the plastic fence will be, but first remove all grass and weeds from the area where the construction will take place. In order for them to stand straight, you need to stretch the construction thread between the corner and final pegs as close to the ground as possible and so that it does not sag.
Next, you need to measure the length of the section in order to know where the supporting posts will stand. In general, plastic fence sections are very easy to cut, so if you make a little mistake in the calculations, then it's not so bad. Next, you should install pegs in those places where the supporting posts will have to stand. You need to install them so that the reverse side touches the construction thread.
There are two further ways to install a plastic fence . The first is to first install all the columns, and only then install the sections. The second is to set sections after each column. The second method is convenient for beginners, since it allows you to quickly correct the mistakes made, but, at the same time, it takes more time, since the solution with which the column is fixed must be strengthened and settled for 24 hours.
Installation of columns
In any case, in the future you need to start preparing holes for the posts. The hole should be two and a half times the size of the post. So, if the post has a size of 102x102 mm, then the hole should be 102x2.5 ~ 250 mm, if 127x127 mm, then 127x2.5 ~ 300 mm, respectively. The depth of the hole must be at least 600 mm. The post must be installed below the freezing depth of the soil. The depth of soil freezing in Ukraine is 60-120 cm, but often these values \u200b\u200bare not taken into account, and good drainage is done instead.
Next, you should install the posts in the holes and lightly sprinkle with earth so that they can stand upright. It is best to put about 5 cm of fine gravel under the post for good drainage. Use a level or plumb line to achieve greater accuracy. The columns must be level. Also, the posts should not touch the construction thread, although they should be at close range. Next, fill the columns with cement mortar and leave to dry for 24 hours. While the solution is not dry, you can still make any changes, in the future it will be very problematic, so it is better to double-check everything at once.
Section installation
The sections must be installed while the solution is still frozen under the post, since the horizontal course of the post is required to insert horizontal logs.
If you want to install a plastic fence on a slope, then the most acceptable option is to install it with a ladder, that is, each next section is higher than the previous one. In this case, you will have to use a drill or a hacksaw in order to make additional holes.
Installation of gates and wickets
When installing a gate or gate from plastic fences , you must make sure that there is about a centimeter between the gate / gate and two reinforced pillars so that they close and open normally.
Installation of gazebos and arches
Installing gazebos and arches is also not a difficult task. First you need to correctly position the wells, according to size. Then you need to install the columns, fill them with a solution, let dry for 24 hours. Next , install the structure itself.
