Immerse the samples in a solution of copper sulfate. The nail heads must be in the solution at a depth of at least 100 mm in a stationary state, not in contact with each other, with the walls and bottom of the vessel. The temperature of the copper sulfate solution during the test shall be (18 ± 2) °C. Samples should be immersed for 60 s. After each immersion in the solution, the nails are washed with distilled water and wiped with a clean cloth.
