| GOST 3187-76 applies to woven meshes made of low-carbon and high-alloy steel, non-ferrous metals and alloys intended for filtration, dehydration and drying. Mesh is a zero mesh wire fabric obtained by interlacing warp wires with weft wires. |
1. TYPES, MAIN PARAMETERS AND DIMENSIONS |

1.3. Grids are made with a width of 1000 mm. At the request of the consumer - 600, 1200, 1300 mm wide.
Maximum deviations in the width of the grid 1 group - + 5 mm, 2 groups - + 10 mm.
1.4. Grids are made rolled up. There should not be more than five pieces in a roll. The smallest length or multiplicity of a piece is set by the consumer. In the absence of consumer requirements, the length of a piece of mesh should not be less than 1000 mm. For meshes No. 120, 160, 200, one piece with a length of at least 200 mm is allowed. With the consent of the consumer, a minimum piece length of less than 1000 mm is allowed.
For meshes of the 1st group, the minimum length of a single piece should not be less than 2000 mm.

2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
2.1a. Grids must be manufactured in accordance with the requirements of GOST 3187-76 according to the technological regulations approved in the prescribed manner.

2.1. Grids must be made of heat-treated steel wire: low-carbon according to TU 14-4-1563-89, high-alloyed from steel grades 12X18H9, 12X18H9T, 12X18H10T, 08X18H10, 10X17H13M2T, 10X17H13M3T according to TU 14-4-1571-89.
At the request of the consumer, meshes are made from wire of other metals and alloys, as well as from wire with a protective coating.

2.2. The interlacing of the wires in the mesh must be correct. There should be no skipping wires.
2.3. There should be no broken wires in the mesh. In grids made of high-alloyed wire, local single breaks of weft wires are allowed no more than five per 1 m2 of the grid, for grids of the 2nd group and no more than three - for grids of the 1st group.
2.3.1. The number of spliced ends of the wire, loops, twists, ticks per 1 m2 of meshes should not exceed for meshes of their low-carbon wire of groups 1 and 2 and for meshes of high-alloyed wire of group 2:
9 - for grids No. 24-90;
13 - for grids No. 100-200.
For grids of the 1st group of high-alloyed wire:
6 - for grids No. 24-90;
10 - for grids No. 100-200.
2.3, 2.3.1. (Changed edition, Rev. No. 3, 4).
2.4. The weft wires in the places of crossing should be closely adjacent to each other. Gaps between the weft wires at the intersections are allowed, not exceeding 0.1 of the weft wire diameter.
2.5. The mesh should not have mechanical damage, sewn places and earned foreign objects.
2.6. The maximum deviation of 1 dm from the nominal number of wires in grids of all types should not exceed:
+ 1 wire on the basis of grids No. 24-100;
+ 20 weft wires of grids No. 20-100;
+ 2 wires on the basis of grids No. 120-200;
+ 30 weft wires; 120-200.
2.7. Grids are made with edges and without edges. In the manufacture of nets without edges, the ends of the weft wires must be evenly trimmed or bent. One side of the mesh web 600 mm wide can be edged, the other side without edge.

3. ACCEPTANCE RULES
3.1 Grids are presented for acceptance in batches. A batch should consist of mesh rolls of the same type, size, material, issued with one quality document containing:
trademark or name and trademark of the manufacturer;
grid symbol;
grid width in millimeters, length in meters;
The number of rolls in a batch.

3.2. Checking the quality and type of weave, the number of spliced ends of the wires, loops, twists and ticks, the length and width of the mesh is subjected to each mesh roll.
3.3. In each selected roll, all pieces of the mesh are checked.
3.4. From the mesh rolls accepted under clause 3.2, 10% is taken, but not less than three rolls, in which the number of warp and weft wires is checked. Upon receipt of unsatisfactory test results, a re-test is performed on twice the number of rolls that have not been tested. The results of the retest are final.
With the consent of the consumer, sections of the mesh web with defects may not be cut out, but marked with a colored pencil and excluded from the total footage.
4. TEST METHODS
4.1. To check the number of spliced ends of wires, loops, twists and ticks per 1 m2 of the grid, choose a place where their largest accumulation is visually noticeable.
4.2. The quality and type of mesh weave, the number of spliced ends of wires, loops, twists and ticks are checked visually when rewinding the mesh roll. Grids No. 100-200 must be checked with lower illumination.
4.3. The number of warp and weft wires is counted with an increase of 7-20X for meshes:
No. 24-60 by 1 dm for the warp and by 0.1 dm for the duck;
No. 64-200 at 0.1 dm for warp and weft.
The number of wires is counted in three places, one of which is located in the middle of the grid, and the other two - at the edges, but not closer than 100 mm from the edge of the grid. The final result is calculated as the arithmetic mean of the values of the three dimensions of the grid, multiplied by a factor of 10:
No. 24-60 - for the base;
No. 64-200 - for warp and weft.
A straight line connecting any two measuring points must not be in the same direction as the warp and weft.
4.4. The value of the gap (A) in millimeters between the weft wires at the crossing points is calculated by the formula
where n is the number of weft wires per 1 dm of warp;
d is the actual diameter of the weft wire, mm.
4.5. To measure the wire diameter, at least three weft wires are left on one roll, protruding beyond the edge of the mesh. The wire diameter is checked with a micrometer with a scale division of 0.01 mm.
4.6. The width of the mesh roll is measured with a tape measure anywhere. The width of the grids is measured along the extreme warp wires.

4.7. The length of the mesh roll is checked when rewinding the roll on a control machine with a counter or tape measure.
5. PACKAGING, LABELING, TRANSPORT AND STORAGE
5.1. Grids No. 100-200 should be wound on a solid cylindrical core, the length of which is 50-100 mm more than the width of the grid. The core must be strong, even and not cause corrosion of the grids.
5.2. Each mesh roll must be tied in the middle and along the edges with wire according to GOST 3282-74 or other soft wire according to normative and technical documentation.

5.3. Each roll of nets No. 100-200 must be wrapped with paper in accordance with GOST 9569-79 or GOST 8828-89 or other paper of equivalent protective properties. Then the rolls are placed in dense wooden boxes of type II according to GOST 18617-83 or other boxes that provide protection against corrosion and mechanical damage.
Each roll of nets No. 24-90 must be wrapped with paper in accordance with GOST 9669-79 or GOST 8828-89 or other paper equivalent in protective properties, then with polymer film in accordance with GOST 10354-82 or GOST 16272-79 or other polymer film or container stitched canvas or sewn flap from textile industry waste, as well as other materials that exclude the use of fabrics made from natural fibers and do not impair the quality of the packaging.

5.4a. Transport marking - according to GOST 14192-77.

5.4. The mass of the roll should not exceed 8 kg. The mass of the package must not exceed 1 ton.

5.5. On the label attached to the roll and the wall of the box, indicate: the trademark or the name and trademark of the manufacturer;
conditional designation of the grid;
grid width in millimeters, length in meters.

5.7. The mesh is transported in rolls, boxes and packages in accordance with GOST 26663-85 and GOST 24597-81 by all types of transport in covered vehicles in accordance with the rules for the carriage of goods applicable to this type of transport.
When transporting two or more rolls or boxes to one consumer, they form a large package. It is allowed to form packages without the use of pallets. Rolls or boxes are placed in a horizontal position. The packages are connected at least in two places with the formation of a loop under the hook of the lifting mechanism.

5.8. Grids should be stored in accordance with storage conditions 5 of GOST 14150-69.
