Specifications

Validity of GOST 13603-89 from 01.01.91
GOST 13603-89 Twisted wire meshes with hexagonal meshes . Specifications until 01.01.96

GOST 13603-89 applies to twisted wire mesh with hexagonal cells used for fencing, cage farming, thermal insulation and other purposes.

1. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

1.1. Grids must be manufactured in accordance with the requirements of GOST 13603-89 according to the technological regulations approved in the prescribed manner.

1.2. Main parameters and dimensions

1.2.1. Grids are divided according to the method of connecting the wires:

with mutually twisted wires,

with mutually twisted wires.

The method of connecting the wires is established by the manufacturer;

by type of surface: uncoated, coated - from galvanized wire of groups L and C;

according to manufacturing accuracy: normal, increased - P.

1.2.2. The cell size in the light (the distance between opposite sides of the hexagon), the maximum deviation in the size of the cell, the width of the grid and the maximum deviations along it must correspond to those given in Table. one.

Notes:

1. By agreement between the manufacturer and the consumer, meshes of intermediate width with a multiplicity of 50 mm, as well as meshes of other widths, are allowed.

2. With the consent of the consumer, for grids of normal accuracy of numbers 25 and 100 made of wire with a diameter of 0.6 mm, maximum deviations from the nominal cell size are not established.

Examples of symbols:

Grid with a cell No. 25 made of wire with a diameter of 0.6 mm, uncoated, normal manufacturing accuracy:

Grid 25-06 GOST 13603

The same, No. 100 made of wire with a diameter of 0.6 mm, galvanized according to group C, with increased manufacturing accuracy:

Mesh 100-06-S-P GOST 13603.

1.3. Characteristics

1.3.1. Grids must be made of low-carbon heat-treated wire without coating or galvanized groups L and C according to TU 14-4-1563-89.

1.3.2. The mesh surface must be clean, free of dirt and rust. Traces of grease are allowed, and for uncoated nets, tint colors.

1.3.3. The mesh should be free of broken and non-twisted wires. It is allowed to splice the ends of the wire with an extension, twisting or welding.

The length of the twist or extension should be no more than 10 mm, and the number of closed mesh breaks that change the correct shape of the cell should be no more than one per 10 m of length.

1.3.4. A mesh with a cell No. 100, made of wire with a diameter of 0.6 mm to reinforce the edges of the web, can have extreme (onboard) wires of a larger diameter.

1.3.5. The mesh is made in one piece, rolled into a roll with a length of at least 50 m. Rolls consisting of two pieces, with a length of at least 3 m, are allowed, in an amount not exceeding 10% of the lot.

The mass of the roll should not exceed 80 kg.

By agreement between the consumer and the manufacturer, rolls weighing up to 200 kg are allowed.

1.4. Marking

1.4.1. A label must be attached to the end of the roll or package indicating:

trademark or name and trademark of the manufacturer;
grid symbol;
the width in millimeters and the length of the mesh in meters;
the total amount of the grid in square meters.

1.4.2. Transport marking according to GOST 14192.

1.5. Package

1.5.1. The end of the web mesh, made of wire with a diameter of 0.6 mm, is attached to the roll. Rolls of wire mesh with a diameter of more than 0.6 mm are tied up in two places along the ends of the roll.

Nets with a width of 2 m or more are additionally tied with galvanized wire in a spiral.

1.5.2. Packing of mesh transported to the regions of the Far North and regions equated to them - according to GOST 15846.

2. Acceptance

2.1. Grids are accepted in batches. The batch must consist of meshes of the same size, material and wire connection method and must be issued with one quality document containing:

trademark or name and trademark of the manufacturer;
grid symbol;
the width in millimeters and the length of the mesh in meters;
the total amount of the grid in square meters.

2.2. To check the surface quality, cell size, the presence of twisting defects, wire diameter, width and length of the mesh, 5% of the mesh rolls are selected from the lot, but not less than three rolls.

2.3. Upon receipt of unsatisfactory test results for at least one of the indicators, repeated tests are carried out on it on a doubled number of rolls.

The results of repeated tests are extended to the entire batch.

3. TEST METHODS

3.1. The presence of twisting defects is determined by external inspection of the mesh web during rewinding of the roll.

3.2. The cell size is measured with a measuring tool with an accuracy of 1 mm in three randomly selected places of the mesh roll. One of the measurement points is chosen in the middle of the grid, the other two - along the edges, at a distance of at least two cells from the edge of the grid.

At each of the measurement sites, the dimensions of a dozen consecutive cells are checked.

The cell size is determined between opposite sides of the hexagon.

3.3. The wire diameter is measured with a measuring tool with an accuracy of 0.1 mm anywhere in the grid.

3.4. The width of the grid is measured anywhere with a tape measure or ruler with a division value of 1 mm.

3.5. The length of the grid is determined using a counter or measured with a meter.

4. TRANSPORT AND STORAGE

4.1. Transportation

4.1.1. The mesh is transported in packages according to GOST 21929 and GOST 24597 or in rolls. Packing must be carried out mechanically or manually.

Packages are tied in accordance with GOST 21650 with tape in accordance with GOST 3560, as well as with wire, wire rod, or tape made according to regulatory technical documentation.

Package weight - no more than 1 ton.

Roll diameter - from 260 to 550 mm, length from 500 to 3000 mm.

When transporting two or more rolls to one consumer, they form enlarged packages.

4.1.2. The mesh is transported by all types of transport in covered vehicles in accordance with the rules for the carriage of goods in force for this type of transport.

The grid is transported by wagon or small shipments by rail.

4.2. Storage

4.2.1. The mesh must be stored in closed warehouses. Stack height - no more than 2 m.
