Application of mesh

The rods of the masonry mesh perceive the transverse tensile forces arising from the compression of the masonry, and prevent the destruction of the brick during bending and stretching, and thereby increase the bearing capacity of the wall. This property of reinforcing meshes is widely used in construction.

Reinforcement of brick walls

Reinforcing meshes perform reinforcement of brickwork.
Walls and piers, as well as pillars, are reinforced with this metal mesh. It is used for dressing a brick wall in buildings and fences on every 4-5th row of bricks.

Reinforcement of ventilation openings

Reinforcement mesh is needed if the wall is being built with a ventilation opening between the facing brick and the wall itself.

Reinforcement of blind areas of buildings

Also , a mesh for reinforcement is needed to increase the strength of the blind area of buildings.

Floor reinforcement

Concrete floors heat up and cool down during operation. As a result, stresses begin to arise in them, which lead to the destruction of the concrete layer. The use of reinforcing mesh prevents the appearance of cracks in the floors and increases their strength.

Reinforcement of the surface of dissimilar walls

If it is necessary to plaster walls made of dissimilar materials (foam concrete-brick, etc.), there is a risk of cracks appearing at the junction of these materials.
Cracks occur due to different coefficients of thermal expansion.
Simply put: a brick wall and a foam concrete wall expand differently when heated, so large stresses will occur at the junction in the plaster layer.
To prevent the appearance of cracks, a welded mesh of thick wire of a periodic profile is shot to such walls before plastering.

Reinforcement of a thick layer of plaster

Unfortunately, builders often make flaws in the geometry of the basement and walls, and they have to be leveled with a thick layer of plaster. To ensure the adhesion of the plaster layer to the wall, a welded mesh with a wire diameter of about 1 mm is not enough. Here you need a reinforcing mesh with a larger wire diameter, up to 5 mm.

Building plinth reinforcement

To give the facades of buildings neatness, the plinth is upholstered with wire mesh and then plastered or tiled.

Reinforcement of warm floors

Heating pipes for underfloor heating are placed on a grid with a large cell of 100-150 mm. The steel mesh acts as a reinforcement when applying a layer of concrete on top of the pipes.

Mesh for fixing boulders

In order to decorate a retaining wall or other part of the building structure, a hole is drilled in the boulders with a perforator, a hook is attached there, which clings to a metal mesh welded from VR-1 wire with the other end. The space between the boulder and the wall or structure is filled with mortar or adhesive.

using a welded mesh (cells 90 * 120 or 100 * 100, wire diameter 5 mm) they reinforce flat roofs on buildings.
Sidewalks and driveways to buildings are also built using wire mesh.

In some cases, steel mesh is used to reinforce road surfaces.

In recent years, thick wire mesh has been used to strengthen trenches in the ATO zone.

The VR-1 wire mesh reinforces the eurofence slabs.

New types of meshes for reinforcement

In 2011, in Ukraine, we patented a new type of masonry mesh Kazachka from expanded metal mesh.

Masonry mesh Kazachka is used for reinforcing walls that are not load-bearing, and piers, reinforcing masonry from aerated concrete and foam concrete blocks.
